Gonzalo Landau has completed a teacher’s degree in German and History at the University of Greifswald. The focus of his studies was Construction Grammar, the late Roman and early Spanish Empires, as well as epigraphy and urbanism in Antiquity. During his studies, he came in close contact with the Classics, especially Latin Satire and Athenian Comedy. He joined the IRTG “Baltic Peripeties” as a research student from September 2021 to autumn 2023, where he assisted with organising events and technical support, as well as with coordinating the compilation of a glossary of key concepts for the project. Since 2023, he is pursuing a doctorate at the University of Hamburg.
