Louise Curtis is pursuing a Master’s degree in German Literature Studies at the University of Greifswald. She is interested in translation theory, narrative multilingualism, and the connections between philosophy and literature. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in modern European history, with a focus on post-revolutionary France and intellectual history. At Berkeley she was an undergraduate fellow at the Center on the Politics of Development and worked as a research assistant in political science and sociology. She joined the IRTG “Baltic Peripeties” in December 2022, where her main tasks include proofreading and editing texts for publication and assisting with the organisation of events.
