Louise Curtis holds a Master’s degree in German Literature Studies from the University of Greifswald. She is interested in translation theory, narrative multilingualism, and the connections between philosophy and literature. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in modern European history, with a focus on post-revolutionary France and intellectual history. At Berkeley she was an undergraduate fellow at the Center on the Politics of Development and worked as a research assistant in political science and sociology. She joined the IRTG “Baltic Peripeties” in December 2022, where she assists the coordination team.
Beginning in August 2025, she will pursue a PhD in German Literature at the University of California, Berkeley.
