Luise Markwort

Luise is pursuing a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies, Intercultural Exchange and Literature with a focus on Scandinavia at the University of Greifswald. Her main interests lie in the construction and mediation of national cultures and identities. Her thesis will examine the performance of a Norwegian cultural canon in a permanent exhibition at the national library in Oslo. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Münster in English and Scandinavian studies, with a focus on the production of post- and transnational identities in Norwegian hip-hop. Prior to joining the IRTG “Baltic Peripeties” as a research student tasked with bibliographical research in September 2024, she worked for the culture festival Nordischer Klang and the scientific journal NORDEUROPAforum.
